Dear Five White and Miss Azzopardi,

I have learnt so much about fractions and it is also fun learning about fractions. These are some of the things that I have learnt about fractions. There are three different types of fractions they are proper fractions, improper fractions and a mixed fractions. A proper fraction is when the numerator is smaller than the denominator for example 1/2. A improper fraction is when the numerator is larger than the denominator for example 4/3. A mixed fraction is when there is a number and a proper fraction for example 2 1/2. What have you learnt during fractions?

    Sincerely Anthony

      Dear Anthony,

What I’ve learnt during fractions is that there are different fractions called Proper Fractions, Improper Fractions and Mixed Number Fractions.

      Yours Sincerely,
      Cecilia

    Dear miss Azzopardi and 5W,

Fractions and decimals is a great topic in Maths. There are many things to learn and you there’re many fun activities based on that topic. An improper fraction is when there is a fraction that’s denominator is less than the numerator. A mixed fraction has a whole number with a fraction woth it and I find it easier when we have mixed fractions in problems. I like to find fractions in a big group of items though some times you would have to simplify the fraction.

    Maths is awesome,
    Grace

  3. Dear Five White and Miss Azzopardi,

Fraction and decimals is kind of a hard topic that I’ve learnt through out the term but it is fun as well!
I learnt so much and here is what I’ve learnt so far:
There is different kinds of fractions and they are proper fractions, improper fractions and mixed fractions.
A proper fraction is when the numerator is less than the denominator.
A improper fractions is when the numerator is larger than the denominator.
A mixed fraction is when there is a whole number in the front of a proper fraction for example 5 1/4 but the proper fraction must not be improper.
What did you learn in fractions and decimals?

    Sincerely,
    Josephine

    Mixed fractions
A mixed fraction is when there is a number of a whole and a proper fraction.

    Kind regards,
    Brenda
